Yes, it’s the Western Province Hill Climb up to the top of Red Hill in Simons Town. Time for you test your climbing legs against the clock.
The Hill Climb will see participants setting off individually to conquer Red Hill
This event forms part of the WP League.
Start Lists
There’s no fixed starting order – the schedule below is just a guide to spread riders out and avoid bunching at the start. Late Registrations will be taken on the line.
We’ve based the list on last category and seeded in reverse order within each cat to keep a rough flow. There is sufficient time for all riders to start in the allotted timeslot plus there will be a gap for late registrations and ‘warm ups’.
How it works on the day:
You can start any time within your category’s window. The bottom timing line will record your start, the top line your finish. It’s self-seeding – just make sure you don’t jump in ahead of riders already in the chute.
Categories and seeding
Everybody will be categorised in the same category as the last race they participated in.

The starting times below are approximate
– Neo & Cat 4 & u19Development & u17’s: 08:00 – 08:30
– Cat 3, Women: 08:30 – 09:00
– Cat 2 & 1: 09:00 – 09:30 onwards
Results & podium:
Because we’re running two separate timing units, we can’t confirm final times and overall placings until both units are synced to the laptop post-race. To avoid delays, we won’t be doing a podium presentation on site. Full provisional results will be published by 12:00.
Costs
Online entries, using the Enter Now button found on this page, is the most cost effective way to enter our races. Entries close the Friday prior to the race. No late entries will be accepted as we need time to seed the riders
Please note that in an effort to save on some costs we will be using the old 2025 (ORANGE BIKE BOARDS) race numbers. As this race is not based on the standard categories, these numbers will be issued to teams and individuals at random, however team members will all have the same colour numbers.
Online registration
Online registration will open on 15 May and close at 21h00 on Friday 22 May 2026.
Please note that you need to purchase your race number and timing board which is necessary for timing and registration for the league. The cost for this is R50-00.
The bike boards with the ORANGE Myriad Events strip at the bottom that were issued last year are still valid for this year.

Parking
Parking will be at the Simonstown train station. However, we recommend you park a bit further away and use the ride into Simonstown as your warm up.
