An early start with mild wind and temperatures ensured fast times for the over 120 participants of the Western Cape Time Trial Championship 2024 held in Velddrif on Saturday, 20 January 2024.
Alan Hatherly impressed the spectators with an average speed of 47.9km/h to take the first prize for the Elite Men, in a time of 50:06.4 over 40km. Zanri Rossouw took the title of the fasted Elite Female with an average speed of 40.9km/h, in a time of 43:58.2 over 30km.
The U/23 titles went to Carlo Engelbrecht and Anika Visser, and the Junior titles to Fredrick Hofmeyr and Chloe Chesterton.
